The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Malawi chapter will this June host workshops in all the three regions of the country to help professional marketers grasp financial aspects critical for business success.
CIM Malawi Board member, Limbani Nsapato, said CIM realises that marketers need to embrace business financials and reposition themselves as core players in the corporate world.
“The modules which will be delivered at the workshops aim at equipping marketer s with the necessary tools to competently read, interpret and action the critical business numbers with a view to empower them in boardrooms.
“A professional marketer cannot run away from numbers. As marketers rise up the ladder, figures become a very critical component of their daily work,” said Nsapato.
He said participants will also be exposed to skills and tactics for pushing new ideas, products, services or projects to prospective clients.
The Blantyre workshop is scheduled for 7 and 8 June while Lilongwe will play host on 13 and 14 June before the third and final training on 16 and 17 June in Mzuzu. All three workshops target marketers, commercial drivers, sales managers, business development, public relations practitioners as well as communications and brand managers.
Seasoned marketers, Enwell Kadango, Fredrick Changaya and accountant cum inspirational speaker, Daniel Dunga are expected to facilitate the training workshops.
