Marvelous Deeds opens 2020 with celebration

Today is the first day in the New Year 2020 and gospel group Marvelous Deeds has organised a celebration at Sheaffer ICA Marquee in Lilongwe that will bring on stage several gospel artists to entertain and bless souls.
One of the members of the trio famed for songs such as ‘Chimwemwe Changa’, Abel Sanena, said yesterday they planned the Marvelous Celebration long time ago and that they were happy that the day was finally here.
“The celebration is all about the journey we have travelled as a group to where we are now, people have supported us and our songs continue to be enjoyed by the people and at the same time our songs have blessed a lot of souls,” Sanena said.
He said apart from celebrating the group’s journey, the event has also been organised to give people a treat and celebrate the New Year.
“It is the first day of the New Year and so, through the celebration, we want to thank God for ushering us into the New Year but also at the same time being with us throughout the year 2019. It is also all about starting the year with a celebration with the people,” Sanena said.
Another member of the group, Francis Phiri, said they decided to celebrate by putting up a strong line-up of artists.
“We are ready to give people something different and being New Year, it will indeed be new things on stage and at the same time ministering the word of God,” Phiri said.
During the celebration, Marvelous Deeds will share the stage with other artists such as Ndirande Anglican Voices, The Great Angels Choir, King James Phiri, Favoured Martha, Shammah Vocalz, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Donex Muva, Precious Fazili and Ennoh Mwana Wa Igwe.
