Maskal admits not being active

Musician Maskal says he has not been active in music since he moved to United States of America (USA) four years ago.
Maskal, real name Masiye Kasaru, was on top of his game in music when he left the country.
With two albums to his credit namely Nthawi and Umunthu, the ‘Udalire’ star, who collaborated with a number of artists including Piksy in the hit ‘Wa CV’, said he was ready to come back.
“I have been busy and out of the music. People have been asking me whether I am still in music and the answer is yes, music will always be part of me. Music is what has made me to be where I am today,” Maskal said Monday.
“I will be pretty active this year. I know the world has been hit hard by coronavirus but once things normalise I will come out with new music,” Maskal said.
He said Covid-19 has affected a lot of things and that for now they were in lockdown.
“God will take us through this. Let me also take this opportunity to wish fellow Malawians all the best. Let us stay safe and follow all the necessary precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the virus,” the musician said.
Maskal impressed many with his music and at one-time was the Ambassador of Access, a mobile company.
