United States of America (USA)-based musician Maskal, who recently released a single titled ‘Samadziwa’ after over five years’ silence, is set to drop its video Wednesday.

The ‘Udalire’ creator said yesterday he had shot the video in Malawi and USA.

“Although I am here, I made sure I should not skip my home in the video and, so, I worked with Sukez in Malawi and then here I have worked with Chipiliro Khonje. I am sure people will love the video just as they have supported the audio,” he said.

The track was produced by BFB dropped on July 26.

He said Monday he has been busy with other projects, hence his silence in music but he never quit.

“Sometimes you need such a break to refresh and come back bigger and better. It was just a matter of time for me because I have the songs and all I needed was just the time and now is the time,” Maskal said.

The musician dropped a trailer of the video ahead of the release of the video Wednesday.

“The trailer was meant to give people a taste of what is coming. I have put more effort into it and I am happy with the whole project. There is so much I am doing after being quiet,” Maskal said.

He said recently that the creative industry has suffered greatly with Covid and that his projects have also delayed because of the pandemic.

“Let me also say it again that I am around and I am still in music. This is my passion,” Maskal said.

Apart from his single ‘Samadziwa’, Maskal recently collaborated with artists Barry One and Gwamba in ‘Miyala’ and ‘Get There’, respectively.

Maskal, who was at one time Access Communications ambassador, won the hearts of many people with his love songs before he left for USA in 2016.

The musician has two albums to his acclaim namely Nthawi and Umunthu.
