Masters get their Simplex
On-and-off Flames goalkeeper Simplex Nthala has joined newly promoted TNM Super League side Masters Security FC on a two-year deal.
Nthala, whose contract with Mozambican club Maxaquene expired last season, has joined the Lilongwe outfit as a free agent.
Masters General Secretary, Zacharia Nyirenda, confirmed the signing of the former Be Forward Wanderers custodian.
Nyirenda said the capture of the experienced keeper was a clear indication of the team’s seriousness ahead of the new season.
“I know he will bring discipline to the team and share his experience with the young players. He trained with us on Tuesday and the technical panel is impressed with him,” Nyirenda said.
He added that they were chasing the signature of Flames forward Robin Ngalande, who parted ways with South African club Bidvest Wits last season.
Ngalande, who is currently in Dedza, has of late been linked with other clubs such as Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets.
According to Zacharia, Masters expect to sign Ngalande on Monday.
“He is a good a player and everybody knows that. He has been in Spain and South Africa playing for big clubs. We have offered him a contract with an assurance that he will join us on Monday,” Zacharia said
