Masters Security FC have suspended their Coach, Abasi Makawa for a month, just after two matches into the 2018 TNM Super League season.
Masters General Secretary, Zachariah Nyirenda, and Makawa confirmed the development.
Nyirenda said club owner, Alfred Gangata, was in a better position to explain more reasons behind Makawa’s suspension.
Nyirenda said, among other reasons, the club has suspended Makawa due to insubordination.
Makawa declined to comment on his suspension.
Gangata said Makawa’s assistant Jabili Maliro will take charge of the team.
“We have just started the season but there are a lot of queries from players about bad relationships in the team. I recruited new players so I want to maintain discipline in the team. It seems that there is conflict in the team but I have not fired anybody,” Gangata said.
Masters started the season with a 1-1 draw against Civil Sporting Club before losing 1-0 to Be Forward Wanderers. Last week, Nyirenda revealed that the team was in financial problems.
