Newly-promoted TNM Super League side, Masters Security Services FC, have disclosed that they will beef up their squad with, at least, three players before the start of life in the top-flight league.

Masters earned promotion into the Super League in style after thrashing TN Stars 4-0 at St Johns Primary School Ground in Lilongwe on Wednesday afternoon.

The Chipiku Premier Division champions amassed 90 points from 40 games, eight points above second-placed Holly Cross Ambassadors, who also defeated Dedza Young Soccer by a similar margin on the same day.

In a post-match reaction, Masters Coach, Benjamin Kumwenda, said he had identified targets to bolster the squad.

He also described the race to their first ever TNM Super League promotion as tough.

“We have a very good team, but we need some players to make it even stronger. It was a tough road, but we showed great character throughout the season. The players deserve to play in the Super League next season. We are really happy that we achieved our target,” Kumwenda said.

Juma Yatina scored a brace with Francis Nohito and Kelvin Phiri scoring a goal each.

Despite being promoted, Masters aim to win their remaining games against Warm Heart Bullets and Wimbe United.

The team’s patron, Alfred Gangata, has also unveiled plans to turn the club into one of the best in the country.

Central Region Football Association (CRFA) vice-General Secretary, Antonio Manda, congratulated Masters for earning promotion.
