Masters Security Services FC rope in Oscar Kaunda
Former Civo United coach Oscar Kaunda is now at Masters Security Services FC as an assistant Coach to Benjamin Kumwenda.
Kaunda and the club’s owner, Alfred Gangata, on Monday confirmed the development.
Gangata added that the team will regroup for pre-season training on January 31.
Kaunda said he was happy to join the newly-promoted team.
However, the former Karonga United mentor said he was yet to finalise discussions with the club’s officials.
“It is true that I am now with Masters Security as one of the coaches there. I was approached by their coach Benjamin Kumwenda to help them and I agreed to join them,”Kaunda said.
However, Gangata said the recruitment of Kaunda signals their intention to compete strongly in the Super League.
“I asked our coach Kumwenda to choose a suitable coach that can be with the team when he is away and he recommended Kaunda,” he said.
“He will be working with Kumwenda because we have learnt that our coach will be busy working with Football Association of Malawi’s assignments, so we decided to take another step by hiring Kaunda.”
Masters were recently promoted to the TNM Super League after being crowned Chipiku Premier Division champions.
