Gospel singer Maggie Wamkachisi Maurice has set October 15 for the launch of her fifth and sixth albums Ndivuukemo and Hymns Collection, respectively.
Maurice, who is a pastor’s wife, said she would launch the albums at Goshen Gardens in Lilongwe.
She said the two albums, which have 10 tracks each, carry messages of hope for the hopeless.
“It’s been hard with Covid but I am optimistic that, come October, the situation will be normal. I have worked hard on the two albums and I have enjoyed making the songs,” Maurice said.
The gospel singer’s journey dates back to 2008, when she released Mulungu Amayankha Ndi Moto.
“I have seen God doing wonders on me and, so, I am ministering through music. A gospel song is a prayer, when one prays, God answers. Let them come and pray with us during the launch,” Maurice said.
Maurice also said preparations for the launch of the two albums, which have been recorded by Khumbo Kaliwo at Studio 88, were at an advanced stage.
Maurice said the launch was set to be spiced up by renowned gospel musicians.
Some of the artists who have expressed interest in being part of the launch include Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Favoured Martha, Billy Kaunda, Maggie Mangani and poet Robert Chiwamba.
