MCCCI on course with Trade Fair preparations

The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) says preparations are on course for the 31st Malawi — International Trade Fair set for end June 2019.
The fair which would attract local, regional and International businesses and investors—would be held from June 20 to 30.
The exhibition, to be held at the Chichiri International Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre, would be held under the theme: ‘Achieving Competitiveness through Integration into Regional Value Chains’.
MCCCI says the theme is aimed at challenging local industry players to create links with international businesses and work on modalities of penetrating into the international market.
“Businesses will have an opportunity to generate new leads, convert existing ones and build strong relationships. They will also meet with prospective customers to create, maintain, and develop professional collaborations” reads part of the statement.

The statement further says, through the fair, MCCCI would create a platform for exhibitors to interact outside the exhibition point.
“Business captains, investors and individuals interested to venture into businesses will be kept abreast with new information on the investment and export opportunities,” further reads the statement.
The fair will accommodate school students as well as families.
