McNerbert Kazuwa back at Mzuni FC
Mzuni FC have re-hired McNerbert Kazuwa as the TNM Super League team’s Assistant Coach.
Kazuwa has replaced Millias Pofera who resigned from the post two weeks ago after his full-time employers, the Ministry of Health, rejected his transfer request from Lilongwe to Mzuzu.
Kazuwa held the same position at the club last season, but was demoted to the team’s reserve side to pave way for Pofera.
According to Mzuni’s General Secretary, Khumbo Kumwenda, Kazuwa will be Alex Ngwira’s deputy until the end of the season.
He added that the teams’ management will, based on performance, decide on contract extension next season.
Kazuwa, who claimed to have been unfairly dismissed by the club last season, said he was ready to take up the challenge.
“The fact that they have been forced to call me back means they have confidence in my capabilities. I am ready to help the coach and the whole team achieve their objectives,” he said.
Third-placed Mzuni suffered their first league loss of the season—2-0—to Nyasa Big Bullets last weekend.
