Youthful musician Med C is enjoying the limelight online since he created his YouTube platform and has since started attracting more viewers.

His recent music video ‘Complaining’ saw him attracting enormous views on YouTube with over 10,000 viewers in 48 hours.

YouTube has opened an opportunity for many musicians, who are making money through monetising their channels.

It has become a dream for every artist to have a paying YouTube channel and it starts with having a good number of viewers and subscribers.

With other creators struggling to attract more viewers and subscribers on their channels, Med C seems to be getting it right.

In just a week of creating his YouTube channel, his two music videos have over 13,000 views and over 500 subscribers and these numbers are promising for a creator who is seeking a grant of monetisation on their YouTube channel to meet the company’s requirements.

Successful YouTube channels are due to creative content that keeps viewers coming back for more.

Ben Sam, who is a creator with most viewed video in the country, said a YouTube channel needs to be nurtured.

“There is a need for creators to give fans the best quality content to attract them to your channel. For starters, building a brand image and having specialists to assist managing one’s social media pages and YouTube channels are very crucial as they are well aware of the strategies of growing and building a brand,” Sam said.

Med C, who recently released a new song titled ‘Uvinanso’, is under new management of Magic Fingers Entertainment led by Tiwonge Mhango.

Magic Fingers Entertainment has since rebranded Med C with his new official Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts running under the name Med C Music.

Mhango said they have pushed Med C to be creative and natural.

“We just need to give him time to be creative and we do not intend to give him pressure. It will take him time to be fully solidified for the music industry as he is still balancing school and music,” he said.

Mhango said Med C has shown his hunger for quality work and that Magic Fingers Entertainment wants him to flourish both at local and international level.
