Micium Mhone cherishes award
By Mphatso Malidadi:

Blue Eagles Captain, Micium Mhone, has said he is now a changed player as he wants to help his team win the TNM Super League this season.
Mhone was the architect of Be Forward Wanderers’ first league loss this season and was involved in all the three goals which the cops scored in their 3-1 victory at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
The defeat came barely a week after Wanderers also lost 0-1 to Silver Strikers in the first leg of the Airtel Top 8 at the same venue.
Mhone said he was excited with the award and paid tribute to his teammates for helping him win the accolade.
“It is not just about me. My teammates played a crucial role and, without their contribution, I could not have made it. We want to fight hard to win the title this season. Of course, people have been talking about my discipline but I am now a changed person. I am more mature and disciplined now,” he said.

Mhone said Eagles should avoid dropping points anyhow to realise their league championship dream.
“Of course, it is still a long way to go but we just need to minimise draws and defeats,” he said.
Mhone’s sterling performances have seen him earn call-ups to the national team after being sidelined for several years.
At the peak of his career, the skipper was signed by South African club Jomo Cosmos but terminated his contract after some disagreements.
