Mighty Wanderers to announce new technical staff

By Williams Gondwa
Mighty Wanderers are expected to announce the team’s new head coach and his backroom staff today in readiness for the new season.
Wanderers Secretary to the Board of Directors Humphrey Mvula refused to reveal the identity of the new coach who has been earmarked to replace Bob Mpinganjira.
“Wait until Thursday [today]; that is when we will issue a statement on developments happening at the club,” Mvula said.
Reports on Monday emerged that the Lali Lubani outfit was also in discussions with Burundian coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan to take over the coaching job at Wanderers.
Ramadhan had a stint with Wanderers before and also coached Nyasa Big Bullets on two occasions.
The development comes after Wanderers had also been linked with former Chitipa United head coach Alex Ngwira.
Currently assistant coach Albert Mpinganjira and Joseph Kamwendo are drilling the team.
Wanderers have beefed up their squad by signing striker Chiukepo Msowoya, who was offloaded at Bullets, whereas Muhammad Sulumba has rejoined the club after his contract expired at Civil Service United.
Wanderers last won the league title in 2017.
The new season will start on March 5 with a Charity Shield match between Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers. The TNM Super League will roll into action a week later.
