Mighty Wanderers should start preparing for life without striker Vincent Nyangulu, who has reportedly sneaked to Mozambique to join Vilankulo FC on free transfer.
Details were sketchy but sources indicated that a former Wanderers player who played in Mozambique brokered the deal.
The source said the striker left the country on Sunday by road and was expected to fly to Beira from Tete.
“He has been accompanied by our former player. I met them at Zobwe,” said the source.
Wanderers Board Secretary Humphreys Mvula could neither confirm nor deny the reports, saying he was attending to some personal business.
Similarly, the club’s acting public affairs manager Ernest Maganga could not comment on Nyangulu’s potential move but feared the club could lose more players.
“We have a situation we need to resolve as soon as possible. Otherwise, the club will lose a lot of players,” he said.
Nyangulu’s departure follows Rafiq Namwera’s move to South Africa’s Black Leopards, where he joined as a free agent.
