Military honours for Peter Chupa

Former Cabinet minister, Peter Chupa, will be accorded burial with military honours, Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) has said.
An OPC statement indicates that President Peter Mutharika has made the directive.
Chupa, died on April 15. The departed politician-cum-businessperson served as Blantyre City Central legislator between 1999 and 2004 and served in the Cabinet of former president Bakili Muluzi.
He was one of the founding members of the defunct National Democratic Alliance of Brown Mpinganjira and also served as national director of recruitment in People’s Party.
Chupa will be buried at Henry Henderson Institute cemetery after a church service at St Michaels and All Angels Multi-purpose Hall.
