The Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (Mips) has launched a magazine which will give a platform to its members to share ideas and experiences on procurement and supply chain management.
The magazine was launched during the institute’s annual dinner and dance held last week in Blantyre.
Guest of Honour at the event, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (Icam), Henry Chowawa, hailed Mips for the initiative saying procurement and supply chain management professionals will now have a platform to share ideas and experiences about their profession.
“The magazine will give you the opportunity to write about some issues that may take place amongst members, such as achievements, conferences and others. It will also allow you all to communicate with people who are not part of the profession,” Chowawa said.
Mips Acting President, Bernadette Maele, also urged the members to contribute to the magazine and embrace it as their communication tool.
“This is the first ever Mips magazine and I would like you to embrace it as your own, contribute articles and enjoy the various stories in this magazine,” Maele said.
The magazine was produced by Gazette Media, a locally owned Malawian business.
