One of the fashion houses in the country – Kliffculture has announced that they have engaged Miss Albinism Chikondi Kanjadza to be their model.
Kliffculture’s Fashion Stylist Khama Chimseu confirmed the development Tuesday.
“We got Chikondi because firstly she is a beautiful young lady with a great sense of style and we were so moved when we got to know her personally and the great works and initiatives she is doing in our society,” Chimseu said.
He said Kliffculture is a fashion house that specialises in bespoke tailoring for both male and female and that they were slowly expanding into supplying of fashion accessories.
“The deal is quite simple, renewal will be yearly, all major events Chikondi will attend Kliffculture will dress her and not only that, a few photo shoots and fashion events will be organised for Chikondi to showcase our designs and her talents,” Chimseu said.
He also said that Chikondi will have her own designs made by Kliffculture and that she will get 50 percent discount on cost.
“We are determined to do more with her but also expose her through our fashion brand. We have been in the industry for years having started in 2013 on a simple verandah in Sunnyside in Blantyre. It was all a dream to make tailored fitted cloths with no compromise on quality,” Chimseu said.
He said they have expanded their base and that now they were operating in Lilongwe sector three.
Kanjadza, who have been working on a social media campaign ‘Kukongola Kowala’ with Mr Albinism Bennet Phunyanya with an aim of showing the beauty of persons with albinism, said she was excited to work with Kliffculture.
“I hope we will make a great team. It feels great to know that there are people or companies like Kliffculture that actually support the works and initiatives I am doing in society and this is why I am ready to work with them for a greater good,” she said.
Kanjadza also called on the government, well-wishers and the corporate world to work with her office.
