Miss Deaf Africa to be judge at Miss Wheelchair

feels like a dream

Miss Deaf Africa and Malawi, Chimwemwe Kamkwamba, who is also Purple Signs Global brand ambassador, has been selected one of the judges for Miss Wheelchair South Africa 2021 edition to be held next month.

Meanwhile, Purple Signs Global has congratulated Kamkwamba for being selected as one of the judges.

“This opportunity arose after Purple Signs Global garnered a ground-breaking agreement with the Miss Wheelchair South Africa organisers as we strive to promote Universal Beauty (Beauty Sans Frontiers),” a statement from Purple Signs Global reads.

It further describes Kamkwamba as a young empowered African leader who deserves an opportunity to grow.

Kamkwamba leaves for the event next week Monday and will return on Friday.

“It feels like a dream, I never in my whole life imagined of something like this; so, I kind of have mixed feelings but I am super excited and proud of myself to be representing Malawi at this pageant as a judge as well as the deaf community. I am really happy to explore more with my modelling career,” she said Tuesday.

The Miss Wheelchair South Africa will be live-streamed at the upcoming Africa Travel, Tourism and Disability Expo and Awards 2021 Edition from December 1-3.
