Mitsubishi’s new Pajero Sport arrives in Malawi
One of the country’s car merchants, Stansfield Motors Limited, on Thursday unveiled to the Malawi market a new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
The new Pajero provides style and comfort with an advanced version of its driving performance.
It is powered by a 2.4-litre, four cylinder turbo-diesel engine mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The car has been designed to combine tough, aggressive, sportiness and superior quality.
It combines a rise body with seven airbags for excellent collusion safety and three cutting edge risk mitigation technologies.
The vehicle also has an electric parking brake and multi-around monitor system that helps drivers check all sides during parking.
Stansfield Motors Limited Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager, Nadia Chikwana, said the new automobile is ideal for the country’s road network.
“The new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is fitted with the world’s most advanced four wheel drive system, offering superior driving performance,” Chikwana said.
She said the gravel, mud, or rock setting, can be selected to suit surface conditions and optimise engine output, transmission setting and breaking to optimise performance.
General Manager for Mitsubishi Brand, Leonard Molande, said the brand has received an overwhelming response on the local market.
He said the car is a game changer on the country’s automobile industry.
“The market has received the new car positively. We strongly hope for a continued increase in demand for the vehicle on the local market as it has brought about ease and comfort in as far as driving is concerned,” Molande said.
