More divisional contests in Atem

After bouncing back last weekend in a contest which took place in the South East Education Division (Seed), Association of Teaching of English in Malawi (Atem) 2020 road to the national final continues with more divisional contests on Sunday.
One of the coordinators, Dave Mpaso, said Thursday that all was set for more divisional contests which will see top schools making it to the regional final to join St Paul the Apostle Minor Seminary, St Monica and St Mary’s, who made it in the Seed contest.
“As we indicated last weekend, we have started and we are not looking back. We are satisfied with how we started last weekend and we hope things will continue getting better and better as we hold more divisional contests this weekend,” Mpaso said.
In the Central West Education Division to be held at Likuni Boys Secondary School in Lilongwe tomorrow, 12 schools are expected to battle it out for the top three positions whereas in the Central East Education Division, the event will be held at Nkhota-kota Secondary School on the same day where 10 schools are expected to battle it out.
The other divisional contests Saturday will take place at Luchenza Secondary School in the Shire Highlands Educational Division (Shed) where seven schools will shrug it out whereas in the South West Education Division (Swed), the contest will take place at Zingwangwa Secondary School in Blantyre where 15 schools will participate.
The theme for the contest this year is ‘Youth activism, the role of the youths in driving change in society’.
