More farmers win in FMB promo
More farmers won various cash prizes during the fourth draw of the Mlimi Asangalale promotion which is being run by FMB.
Speaking at the end of the draw, Head of Business and Private Banking at FMB, Liman Chisi, said the promotion is meeting its set objectives, one of them being to improve savings culture among tobacco growers.
“We want to empower tobacco growers and ensure that they have stable and sustainable socio-economic lives. We are impressed with the impact we have registered so far and we want to see more farmers taking part in the promotion as we would want to see their lives improving,” he said.
Chisi added that through the promotion, FMB has seen its customer base growing as more farmers are choosing to save with the bank.
“This is the fourth draw and we expect continued growth. If we look at the number of transactions from the first draw, there has been some stable improvement. We look forward to further growth,” he said.
At the end of the promotion, one winner will walk away with a K3 million cash prize.
According to Chisi, the bank is committed to empowering local tobacco growers
