“We are prepared as I said, everything is in its place and we are ready to run Season III. At the moment we are registering contestants and this now around we have grown the base because it’s now national,” Ngulube said.

He called on those who have not registered and would like to participate in Season III to come forward as the deadline was November 26.

“Let them visit our offices collect forms, fill and subm them in Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. We want to have more contestants in Season III and our aim is to build on the successes of Season I and II,” he said.

The prize money has since been increased to K2 million this year from K1.5 million last year.

“K2 million is for one winner and all what we are saying is that the winner takes it all. We have had people suggesting that we should split the prize money between the first and third position but this competition is for one winner taking it all,” Ngulube said.

He said that Times Group through Times Television wants to help uplift the creative industry in the country and that dance is one of the areas that need to be given the platform.

Through Season I and II, several groups have come out and many are doing well and being utilised by different companies in their events.
