More shows for General Kanene

Having held a number of shows across the country, Zambian controversial musician, General Kanene, is expected to hold other shows this weekend courtesy of Club 24/7.
The artist, who has in the past been accused of missing out in some shows in the country, is expected to arrive today ahead of the shows.
General Kanene alleged recently that some promoters, who he labelled ‘fake’ had been using his name in their shows without proper agreements and contract.
Club 24/7 owner, MacDonald Soko, said Wednesday that General Kanene would be performing in the country once again by public demand.
“He impressed a lot of people the last time he came in the country and so, I have been receiving pressure that I should bring him back. He agreed and so, a number of shows are on this weekend including one at Club 24/7 on Friday [tomorrow]”, Soko said.
The Zambian artist is also set to perform at M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe on Saturday and then Uncle Vic Night Club in Mchinji District on Sunday.
“Last time, General Kanene performed with Joe Gwaladi and Alleluya Band but this time around we have Skeffa Chimoto and Real Sounds and Joe Gwaladi,” Soko said.
He said the shows were also part of giving a treat to people as they look forward to the festive season.
“What we want is for people to experience more entertainment as we get to the festive season,” Soko said.
Another Zambian musician B1 has also been in the country holding a number of shows having trended with his song ‘Kwa George’, which is currently enjoying airplay in some of the local radio stations and entertainment places.
“After his recent performances, General Kanene went back home and this is why I am saying he is arriving tomorrow [today],” Soko said.
