‘Morgan Heritage concert will not take place at Silver Stadium’
South Africa-based musician Born Afrikan real name Nelson Shawa has announced that the Morgan Heritage concert to be held on April 30 will not take place at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe as earlier announced.
Born Afrikan through his Born Afrikan Productions said on his Facebook account that the show will take place on April 30 but not at Silver Stadium.
“I would like to inform you that the show on the 30th April in Malawi is definitely on but it won’t be taking place at the Silver Stadium as we would have loved due to the renovations that are to start soon at the stadium,” said Born Afrikan.
He however, could not say where the concert will take place this time around but there are indications that it would be moved to Lilongwe Golf Club.
The reggae musician said they will communicate later about the venue.
He said that the concert will be an afternoon show with the Grammy Award winner performing early.
The Jamaican group will be performing in the country for the second time having disappointed fans in December last year where they performed using a CD.
Only three members of the group made it for the first show namely Peter, Gramps and Mr Mojo.
However, the trio said during their debut concert that this was an appetiser and that people should brace for the best during their second outing where they would be performing with a full band.
The Jamaican group showed their strength during the 58th Grammy Awards when their Strictly Roots Album won them the Best Reggae Album.
