The two teams first met in June in the semi-finals of the Airtel Top 8 Cup at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
The Lions of Kaning’ina (Moyale) lost the tie 3-2. A month later, the Nomads produced a master-class performance as they humiliated Moyale 5-1 at Balaka Stadium.
Some 10 days later, the Nomads poured more misery on Moyale, beating them 3-2 on post-match penalties in a Carlsberg Cup semi-final played at Mzuzu Stadium
