Moyale Barracks coach searches for answers to poor start

Moyale Barracks coach Nicholas Mhango says he is still searching for answers as to why his team has started the TNM Super League season on a low.
Against Silver, the Mzuzu-based soldiers were taught some soccer lessons as they went down 3-1 at Silver Stadium on Saturday. The last year’s runners-up have gone three consecutive games without a win.
Moyale lost to Epac 1-0 before losing to rookies Mzuni FC 3-2 last weekend and the defeat against Silver has worsened their season.
The soldiers are stuck on position 11 with four points from six games.
In a post-match interview, dejected coach Mhango said he was concerned with the team’s poor form in the league.
“I am disappointed with the performance of the team; we are not playing well. I don’t know what has happened to the players,” said Mhango.
However, Mhango promised that his charges would soon return to winning ways.
“The season has just started and soon we will start playing well. There is still a long way to go and we can still catch up with all the teams above us on the log table,” he added.
As Moyale were mourning their third consecutive their defeat, Silver were celebrating third straight win after back-to-back losses.
Silver scored their goals through Peter Wadabwa, Green Harawa and Victor Limbani while the soldiers scored their consolation goal through Mtopinjo Njewa.
The Central Bankers now have collected nine points after playing five games.
