Moyale Barracks FC will be without Coach Nicholas Mhango next season, as he is reportedly leaving for studies, Team Manager, Aubrey Kaweche, has confirmed.
Kaweche said Mhango has enrolled at a college in Lilongwe and will only be available during holidays.
He said, in Mhango’s absence, his assistant Charles Kamanga will be in charge of the Lions of Kaning’ina.
“It is confirmed that he is leaving. He is going for studies for about four years. But he will remain part of us and, whenever he is on holidays, he shall be coming to help the team,” Kaweche said.
Mhango also left Moyale in 2014 for Malawi Defence Force duties in the Democratic Republic of Congo, only to return mid-last season.
He steered the Mzuzu-based side to the Fisd Challenge Cup final and lost 1-0 to Kamuzu Barracks (KB).
Meanwhile, Moyale started training on Tuesday minus forward Khuda Muyaba.
The player, in a separate interview, confirmed that he had joined KB.
“My time at Moyale has, indeed, come to an end. Currently, I have arrived at KB and I am ready to work for them this season,” he said.
Muyaba was the target of Botswana Premier League side, Mochudi Centre Chiefs.
