Mozambique in for 14 matches

All is set for Malawi to play against Mozambique today and tomorrow in 14 matches sanctioned by International Cricket Council.
Mozambique arrived yesterday with men’s and ladies’ teams for matches in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
Malawi Cricket Union President, Vivek Ganeshan, said they were excited to host Mozambique.
“It has always been our wish to play international matches and we believe our players will gain exposure. We are particularly happy that the ladies have come up with their team,” Ganeshan said.
He said the two local teams finalised their preparations yesterday and were confident of success.
In the men’s category, the two teams will play at Lilongwe Golf Club while St. Andrews International High School in Blantyre will host the ladies’ encounter.
This will be the first time for Lilongwe to host an international cricket match whereas the ladies’ match will be the first to be played in the country.
The ladies will play seven T20 matches with the men playing four T20 games in Lilongwe before moving to Blantyre for three more encounters.
The men’s teams will first play two T20 games at Indian Sports Club, with the last match earmarked for St. Andrews.
