Mpingwe Sports Club Grey hails Kukoma support
Southern Region side, Mpingwe Sports Club Grey, has hailed the support it gets from Capital Oil Refining Industries through its brand Kukoma Oil.
Mpingwe captain Llyas Bhikhu said the club had developed impressively and vowed to win the on-going Twenty-20 Inter Cricket League.
“Kukoma has been supporting us for two years but this year we have built a good side capable of challenging for titles.
“Every player is determined to win and repay the sponsor because the sponsorship is massive. We are working hard to win the Inter Cricket League,” he said.
Bhikhu could not disclose how much they get through Kukoma sponsorship but said that the amount was substantial.
“We are grateful for what we get and we want to make our sponsor happy,” he said
Cori through its brands has been supporting various developing sport codes.
The company through Kukoma is set to seal its sponsorship with netball giants Diamonds.
Kukoma also supported Hockey Association of Malawi (Ham) when the local body hosted the games’ African president.
Last week Kukoma donated funds to the Lions Club of Blantyre when the body staged fundraising golf at Mbawa Country Club in Bvumbwe, Thyolo.
