Mr Cool to drop new album next year
Musician Anthony Makondetsa popularly known as Mr Cool has revealed that he will release a new album next year.
The musician, who has impressed many with his songs, said it was now time for him to drop a new album next year as this year he wanted to give a chance to Black Missionaries.
Black Missionaries launched their Kuimba 10 album this year.
“I would like to say thank you to people for their support in the year 2015, it has been a long year but fans have been there for me and Black Missionaries.
We have been motivated because of their support and so I would like to say that next year I am dropping a new album,” he said.
Makondetsa said he could not have dropped a new album this year because he was still giving time to his previous album Fuko Lokondedwa.
“It’s not long since I released Fuko Lokondedwa so I had to give time to this album so that people enjoy it fully. Again it’s not about releasing albums anyhow; you need time so that you come out with quality songs. Now I am ready for a new album,” he said.
Fuko Lokondedwa has impressed many with songs such as ‘Mu Yuda,’ and ‘Fire time,’ standing out.
He said the songs in the new album will be ready by mid next year.
“It will not be an album only; I am also looking at releasing a DVD next year,” said Makondetsa, who calls himself ‘Sergeant.’
The musician could not be drawn to say the title of the album.
Some of Makondetsa’s other albums include Kambelembele and Mbumba Ya Abrahamu.
