Mr Jokes talks rebranding
Comedian Andrea Thonyiwa, popularly known as Mr Jokes, has said he is improving his brand in order to bring out the best to the people.
The comedian, who is also into master-of-ceremonies business, said on Sunday that after thorough consultations, he decided to rebrand.
“It was actually just a matter of time. I am happy with the direction I am taking in my comic career. People have enjoyed my works but I want them to enjoy them to the fullest,” Mr Jokes said.
He has not held his own performances of late but was quick to say that he is taking his time.
“I am working on a new project but that is not important for now. I will talk more on this when the project is ready for the market. What I am interested in at the moment is the rebranding,” he said.
Mr Jokes admitted that some of the works he has been dishing out to the people have not been well packaged, hence the rebranding.
“From now onwards, I want people to look at me as a serious comedian, who is ready not only to conquer Malawi but to conquer the world as well. I have actually been building some fresh jokes which I am sure will satisfy the people,” he said.
The comedian said he wants to take his comedies to the international market and that he is optimistic of breaking through, especially after rebranding his sets.
