Muhammad Sulumba, Peter Mselema Danish trip in limbo
Be Forward Wanderers defender, Peter Mselema and Nyasa Big Bullets forward, Muhammad Sulumba, will have to wait a bit longer before undergoing trials with Danish second division side, Herforge Boldklub.
The pair was expected to leave this week for trials, but the trip has been shelved as the Danish season is about to conclude.
Wanderers’ general secretary, Mike Butao, who is handling the negotiations locally, said he received latest information that the pair will undergo trials before the start of the next Danish league season.
“They said it will not make sense to sign them this time since the season is about to end. They have indicated that they will communicate the new dates in May, advising on when the two will have to undergo trials,” he said.
Butao said the Danish side wanted to take the pair on a pre-season tour before the start of the season in August.
“The idea is that they should undergo trials during the pre-season tour which will likely be held between June and July,” he said.
Butao said following the development, both players must concentrate on their domestic football to stay in shape.
“Anything can happen between now and then, therefore, in good form to avoid being caught unawares,” he said.
Herforge coach, Lars Jensen, spotted the pair— alongside Wanderers’ left-back Ted Sumani and midfielder Isaac Kaliyati— when he visited the country in December
