Mulanje Last Boxing eyes double header
Mulanje Last Boxing Promotions will early next month promote a double-header professional bill as the stable aspires to unearth other professional boxers.
Aubrey Masamba will take on Tinkhani Kamanga while debutant George Kandulo will date Boniface Sitenala. The bill is set for July 6 at a venue to be announced later.
The stable’s managing director, Mike Chitenje, said the double-header would help the four to market themselves to other promoters and supporters.
“At Mulanje Last Boxing Promotions we believe that we should give each boxer a chance. Rather than using the names that are already there, we want to give the four boxers a chance to showcase their talent,” he said.
Chitenje said stable would reward the outstanding boxers with more bouts to shape up their professional career.
“We want to help the boxers that will win impressively to improve their records to attract offers from several boxers. We have told them that they should work hard and give out their best to win our support,” he said.
Chitenje said his stable would be monitoring training to ensure that the boxers stay fit ahead of the fight.
“We don’t want to give fans a raw deal. We want the boxers to be in good shape to entertain supporters. We have also announced the bill in time to give ample time to the boxers to prepare hard,” he said.
This would be the second fight for Mulanje Last Boxing Promotions to arrange this year after promoting the non-title contest between Chrispin Moliati and Henry Muyaya.
“Last time we coaxed Henry Muyaya from South Africa and it was the first time that he fought in professional category. This time we are bringing what others would call novices but they will shocked,” he said.
