Mulanje Park hosts top 8 Cup launch

Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) has shifted the launch of the Powerstart Tayale Top 8 Cup to Mulanje Park Stadium from Mangochi Stadium.
The league’s chairperson Raphael Humba confirmed the change, saying the launch will still be held on Saturday.
“The change follows our agreement with the sponsor Powertex Limited Company to take the launch to Mulanje. We felt it necessary to change because we launched our (SRFA) season in Mangochi. It would have been unfair to go again in Mangochi as we have another facility in Mulanje.
“We as SRFA, are gearing up for the event and we are confident we will have a good cup competition this season,” he said.
Humba also disclosed that the competition’s draw was held on Monday.
During the launch, Phalombe will entertain Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve in a noon kickoff before Mulanje Mission battle it out with Sable Farming.
Meanwhile, Nyasa Big Bullets reserve registered a massive win during their SRFA league opener on Monday after whipping Neno giants 12-0 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
