He, however, could not come out clear on the venue, saying a decision is yet to be made.

Mhango will seek a second term.

“I will contest again because I feel there is time to do more and uplift the industry,” Mhango said.

The veteran gospel musician is set to face competition from former president Costen Mapemba, former South chapter chairperson Papa Mtume and Ras Chikomeni.

On the position of vice president, Gloria Manong’a and Dyton Mbewe, among others, will battle it out.

The position of secretary general will see a contest of Khuza Rampi, Brenda Chombo Banda and Thomas Lupeska while Rudo Chakwera is the only one so far vying for deputy secretary general position.

As for the Women’s Desk, there is likely to be a battle between incumbent president Martha Mituka and Favoured Martha.

“It’s interesting that people are coming out to show their interest in different positions. As Mum, all we want is for members to be part of the body, be paid up members so as to participate in its growth but also speak with one voice,” Mhango said
