President Peter Mutharika has reshuffled his cabinet with effect from Monday, 17 August.
In the changes, Mutharika has fired Two cabinet Ministers Trasirzio Gowelo who was Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and Paul Chibingu who headed the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
Dr Peter Kumpalume is now Minister of Health, replacing Dr Jean Kalilani who is now Minister of Home affairs and Internal Security.
Atupele Muluzi is no longer Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security as he has been moved to Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
Minister of Information, Tourism and Culture Kondwani Nankhumwa has been replaced by Jappie Mhango. Nankhumwa will now head local government and rural development.
Malison Ndau has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defence.
