MyBucks Banking Corporation has announced the expansion of its bancassurance offering to include home insurance, motor insurance and electronic insurance, dubbed CellSure.
MyBucks Marketing and Customer Experience Manager Linda Nkosi said in a statement the move is aimed at enhancing customers’ financial freedom.
“The expansion of our bancassurance products is in line with one of our goals of making people’s lives better.
“In addition to the existing funeral and credit life insurance that we have always offered, we felt it is important to bring to the market, the home, motor and CellSure insurance” she said.
Nkosi highlighted that the home insurance covers one’s house and belongings against life’s unexpected events such as theft, damage by extreme weather, fire and other losses.
“We have also introduced a motor vehicle insurance package which comes with free installation of telematics gadget for car tracking, enabling customers to get rewarded with fuel cash-backs for good driving,” she stated.
Nkosi said the CellSure offering is designated for customers wishing to insure their electronic gadgets such as mobile phone and laptops against loss, theft, accidental damage, liquid damage and electrical damage.
She said customers should expect to benefit from this offering as the bank will either repair their mobile phone and laptop, where possible, or will simply replace it with a mobile phone and laptop of the same make or model, subject to fulfilment of prescribed conditions.
MyBucks already offers funeral insurance through its Linga savings account and credit life through its loan products, which the bank said has for the past years eased the stress on many families’ in the event of an unfortunate circumstance.
