Mzuni FC play down draws
Mzuni FC coach, Alex Ngwira, says he is satisfied with his charges’ performance despite drawing by 1-1 margins against Moyale Barracks and Epac in back-to-back second round games.
In the latest game against Epac at Mzuzu Stadium last Sunday, Mzuni scored through Luwindiko Msani before Steve Mkandawire equalised for Moyale.
The students also drew 0-0 against leaders, Blue Eagles, at the same venue two weeks ago.
But Ngwira said he was not worried.
“We are the minnows and we have nothing to lose. Two points in two big games to us is massive. If we are able to collect a point against the big guns it means we have started the second round of the league well,” he said.
However, Ngwira questioned the timing of the fixtures, saying they are being paired against giants. Mzuni host Nyasa Big Bullets this weekend.
Mzuni have 29 points from 17 matches.
