Mzuni FC have signed former Nyasa Big Bullets attacking midfielder, Davie Ng’ambi, on a free transfer.

Mzuni Coach, Alex Ngwira, on Wednesday said Ng’ambi has strengthened the team, following the departure of regulars such as Chimwemwe Kumkwawa, Happy Msowoya, Lazarus Nyemera and Zelieti Nkhoma.

Goalkeeper Kumkwawa and striker Nkhoma have joined Masters Security whereas midfielder Msowoya has re-signed for Karonga United, with winger Nyemera re-uniting with Silver Strikers.

“We believe that the coming in of Ng’ambi will help us as we prepare for the new season. He is a good player. We have told him our targets for next season and we hope he will help us.

“We understand that injuries affected his performance last season, when he was at Blue Eagles, but he is now fine. We are also assessing players from lower leagues,” Ngwira said.

Last season, Mzuni finished on position 10 of the TNM Super League log table with 30 points from 37 matches.
