Mzuni FC strategising on sales
By Isaac Salima:
Struggling TNM Super League side, Mzuni FC, is working on market strategies to ensure maximum benefits from a K20 million deal with Certified Natural Food Company.
Last week, Mzuni received various products from the company for sale, with the proceeds being channelled towards settling the club’s K16 million debts.
General Secretary Donnex Chilonga said they are working on the best market strategies for selling the products.
“So far, the sales have relatively been good. The response has been good but people are somehow sceptical on the products. But those that have tasted the products are giving a positive response.
“We just need to devise the best ways of selling the products so that we maximise on profits. We will soon engage agents who will be selling the products at a commission,” Chilonga said.

Chilonga said they are optimistic that with good sales, the products can ease the team’s financial woes. The Mulanje-based company gave Mzuni products such as Zondeni Body Cleaner and Thanzi Ufa wa Mbatata for sale.
The club has been sailing in troubled waters after Mzuzu University withdrew sponsorship.
