Mzuni student launches gospel poetry album
Twenty-f ive-year-old Mzuzu University student, Livison Nkungula, has released a gospel poetry CD.
The CD, titled ‘How Shall We Be Saved?’, comprises 11 poems which attracted the attention of poetry lovers who thronged Mzuzu University Hall during its launch recently.
The only drawback to the CD launch was, possibly, the low turn up.
Nkungula started composing and recording poems in February this year, work that will culminate in a DVD album, according to the poet.
“I am doing everything possible to ensure that I launch the DVD next year in order to give the gospel of Jesus Christ a new dimension,” Nkungula said.
The theme of the album is salvation and the poems denounce all things that stop humans from making peace with God.
One of the poems relates Christians of today to ’10 Virgins’, a parable taught by Jesus Christ in Matthews Chapter 25.
