National Bank pumps K2 million towards healthcare

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) on Wednesday handed over a K2 million donation to Operation Smile in support of surgeries for Malawians born with cleft lips and palates. NBM Legal Manager, Memory Chipembere, said health is one of the areas where NBM focuses its corporate social responsibility programmes.

Operation Smile Country Manager, Ibrahim Nthalika, said the money will be used to enhance sensitisation to encourage those with such deformities to go for surgery.
