NBS Bank has donated learning materials and food items worth K800,000 to Malingunde School of the Blind in Lilongwe.
The School is owned by the Nkhoma Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian.
Teacher-in-Charge of students with disabilities at the school, Chiko Kamphandira, said the school is currently facing alot of challenges, including lack of learning materials and shortage of food.
“We are very thankful to the government for their support, however, there are other challenges ranging from lack of special needs learning resources like stylus and braille paper” he said.
In his remarks NBS Bank Lilongwe Service Centre Manager, Shepherd Tembo, said the gesture was aimed to support improve education standards.
