Ndirande Stars lose quartet

Budding side Ndirande Stars have lost four players ahead of their debut season in the Thumbs Up Southern Region Football Association Premier Division.
Attacking midfielder Kondwani Kucheza has joined Super League debutants Bangwe All Stars at K1.5 million transfer fees.
Right winger Yamikani Ntalimanja has moved to another top flight league side Kamuzu Barracks for a yet to be agreed fee.
Promising striker Gift Lamowa has moved to FCB Nyasa Bullets Reverse while left back Chisomo Nsanthe has signed for Dedza Dynamos.
Stars Team Manager Kuruwa Ngwira said they are yet to find replacements for the quartet.
“It was obvious that we were going to lose some players. Of course, it is painful to lose some of them as they were a key part of the team. As of now, we are monitoring potential replacements and we will make an announcement soon,” he said.
Ngwira said despite losing the four, the team will strive to earn Super League promotion in their maiden Premier Division appearance.
“The bulk of players we started with at the under-20 league and then Division One are still with us. We have quality and depth to do well. We will prepare thoroughly to do better,” he said.
Stars were promoted to the Premier Division after finishing second in Division One.
They joined the league’s champions Zingwangwa United, third-placed Balaka FC and fourth-placed Mangochi-based Mpondasi FC.
They will replace Mubas, Neno, Chinamwali and Destiny, who were relegated from the Premier Division.
