One of the country’s commercial banks, Nedbank, has reiterated its commitment to contributing towards the national financial inclusion drive and extending its reach to the country’s unbanked population.
Nebank Chief Executive Officer, Paul Guta, said the bank was investing heavily in building a strong and resilient internet banking platform.
He was speaking in Blantyre during a customer appreciation cocktail.
“With advancement in technology, we continue investing towards building a resilient system through which our customers would continue enjoying reliable banking services,” Guta said.
Guta thanked customers for what he called unrevealing support to the bank.
He said the bank would continue serving its customers in line with its core vision of becoming Africa’s most admired financial services provider.
“We have our customers’ interests at heart and serving them better is what drives us. We believe in building deep-lasting, value adding relationships,” Guta said.
Nedbank Malawi Board Chairperson, Maziko-Sauti Phiri, said the bank had registered significant growth in the years it has been operating in the country, owing to continued support from customers.
He said Nedbank would continue offering satisfactory services to individual and corporate customers.
