New Fam General Secretary starts work
Football Association of Malawi’s (Fam) new General Secretary (GS), Alfred Gunda, has officially taken up his new post.
Gunda has replaced Suzgo Nyirenda who has since landed a new job as Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) Deputy Secretary General.
Fam President Walter Nyamilandu confirmed that the new GS started work yesterday.
“We would like to officially welcome Mr Gunda on board and I would like to assure him of our support as he takes up this challenging task of overseeing the administration of football country wide,” Nyamilandu told www.fam. mw.
“In the same manner, I would like to appeal to other stakeholders to give him the necessary support so that he excels in his tasks and serves football to the best of his ability.”
Nyamilandu also hailed Nyirenda for serving the association loyally for five years as GS.—The Daily Times/Fam website
