New IBF Africa female champion eyes more belts

Newly crowned International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight champion Ellen Simwaka has said she will use her victory as a springboard to vie for more reputable belts.

The South Africa based Malawian pugilist produced a master-class performance to beat favourite, South Africa’s Sharadene Fortuin, on split decision at Galleria Sandton’s Premium Conference on Thursday night.
