New Nissan X-Trail launched in Malawi

Nissan has said Malawi is an important market in the company’s growth strategy. The company currently enjoys a market share of 22 percent on the domestic market and is optimistic to increase its footprint following the launch of its rebranded Nissan X-Trail.

Among other innovations, the new vehicle has all-round cameras, six airbags, seven seater capacity and upgraded exterior and interior designs.

Speaking during a ceremony to unveil the new vehicle in Malawi, one of the directors at Nissan, Tim Jacques, said Nissan is always committed to bring on the market products that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Jacques said the vehicle has very good fuel consumption and that the new technology incorporated in the design offers various levels of safety to drivers, which could become very useful in thick traffic.

“We like to give people what they want and we give them products that match their personality,” he said.

Nissan has confirmed that it has enough stock to meet demand and that more vehicles are in transit coming to Malawi. The price tag is K39 million.
