A new reggae duo that seeks to add to the list of reggae outfits in the country and propel the genre has been born in Lilongwe and is known as Reggae Giants Family.
The duo is made up of Ezekiel Dilli and Dastain Chilombo, whose nickname is Ray Jay.
Chilombo said, apart from raising the genre, the duo is also in the fold to minister the word of God through music.
On why they have chosen reggae and not any other genres, Chilombo said their calling for the very first time in 2005 was reggae.
“Music is powerful and, through it, we just want to preach love,” he said.
Chilombo said they would add more members to the family with time but for now there are only two members.
The duo has since released four tracks as it gears to drop its debut album.
The four songs are ‘Hossanah’, ‘Dear Mama’, ‘Musandiiwale’ and ‘Wamayankho’.
